We delivered a high-precision structural and technical drafting package for a custom aviary structure in Napanee, Ontario, designed to withstand extreme Canadian winter conditions. A key focus of our documentation was accounting for unique environmental variables, such as the structural impact of ice buildup on mesh cladding and the critical wind uplift forces inherent in partially open farm structures. Through 3D structural modeling, we detailed a robust framing system utilizing specialized hurricane ties and reinforced load paths. Our drawings also integrated vital biosecurity and safety features, ranging from subterranean predator barriers and surface drainage grading to specialized electrical protective conduits, resulting in a comprehensive blueprint set tailored for both structural integrity and long-term livestock safety.
